3rd NSW - Bow: H Lilley, 2: Rita Stephenson, 3: L Boon, Str: Doris Collins, Cox: Lilian Collins, Cch: L Hancock
4th VIC - 3: Merle Bennell
SA - Did not finish

Tasmania started brilliantly gaining a length and a half lead early in the race. By half way the lead was reduced to within 1/2 length, but the Tasmanians responded and drew away to win by one length to Queensland, 3 lengths back to NSW and Victoria last. The South Australians broke an oar early in the race and did not finish.
