1919 Ballarat Head of the Lake

The post war year brough success back to Grammar with a win over Ballarat College which had almost made a habit of second place. The Argus reported on Monday 20th October 1919: The annual boat race for the “head of the lake” rowed on Lake Wendouree this afternoon [Saturday 18th October] by public school crews, was won by the Church of England Grammar School by 3 feet from Ballarat College, after an exciting finish. St.Patrick’s College was third.
