The Henley Regatta Records 2015-19 reported on Scotch as follows. Scotch College, Melbourne, Australia started their campaign with an easy four and a half length win over St George's College on Wednesday. Again on Thursday Scotch College got into an early strong rhythm and moved smoothly away up the entire Course. Hampton School made every effort to gain some ground, but to no avail. Scotch College had a tougher opponent in St Paul's School on Friday. It was an excellent race with Scotch College equalling the Record to Fawley in a closely-fought battle throughout. St Paul's looked as if they might break through at the mile and an eighth, but had given themselves just too much to do. They however never lost contact and Scotch won by only half a length. In the semi-final Scotch College raced Eton College, with both crews level at the quarter mile and Eton briefly ahead at the Barrier by one foot, but the Scotch College crew were longer and more powerful than Eton and at Fawley moved ahead by a quarter of a length. Eton, with a continued higher rate of striking, challenged along the Enclosure, but Scotch College held them and came in to win a fine race by a third of a length.

And later as follows. Scotch College, Australia, took an early lead in the Final, which they gradually increased throughout the race. Radley tried to stay in contention and over-rated the Australian crew throughout but were unable to threaten, and by the three-quarters of a mile signal Scotch College had a length, which they extended to one and two-thirds of a length at the Finish.
