Defeated SUBC in Round 1 easily. They led by a length at the 1/4 mile, 2 lengths at the 1/2 mile, 3 lengths at Fawley and 4 l4ngths at 3/4 mile.
In Round 2, MUBC were defeated narrowly (4 feet) by Thames Rowing Club. Thames got the better of MUBC in the early parts of the race and led the whole way. MUBC fought hard to bring back the margin and rowed back into contention under rating their opposition. They nearly got there.
