Swan River Rowing Club (WA) - John Yuille
John was given a bye in Round 1.
In Round 2 he was defeated by only one length by M J Muir-Smith of Christ's Church Cambridge. A close race all the way. Muir-Smith led by ¾ length at the ¼ mile and the Barrier but was only just ahead at Fawley and the ¾ mile. Yuille then led by ½ length at the Mile and was still ahead at the 1 ½ mile. Muir-Smith spurted hard and won.
