Beaten by Leander Club & Molesey B.C by 1 ¼ length in Round 1 of 2. The Henley Regatta Records 2015-19 reported as follows.
There were three entries and these were of exceptional quality. All three were national crews, with two being selected in tbe Draw: R.C. Hansa Dortmund, Germany, the reigning Olympic Champions, recent winners of the European Rowing Championships and reigning World Champions, and recent World Cup wirmers Leander Club and Molesey Boat Club. Since the Draw gave R.C. Hansa Dortmund a bye to the Final, Leander and Molesey bad to get past the National Training Centre, Australia to race them.
In the semi-final both crews had a good start with Leander and Molesey slowly increasing their lead to two lengths by Fawley. The Australian national team never gave up and reduced the deficit to a length and a quarter by the Finish.

Beaten by University of California Berkeley, USA by 1 ¾ lengths in the Finals. The Henley Regatta Recods 2015-19 reported on the final as follows. The event had been marked by some poor steering up to this point and the Final was no exception, with both Berkeley and Sydney being warned repeatedly. The crews were level along the Island and Sydney led by one foot at the Barrier, but after correcting their course Berkeley pushed through to take a three-quarter length lead by the three-quarter mile marker. Steering remained erratic but Berkeley eventually pulled away to a two-length lead by the mile signal, eventually winning by one and three-quarter lengths. Sydney appealed but were refused.

Champions over Thames R.C by 4 lengths. The Henley Regatta Records 2015-19 reported on the Sydney crew as follows. The dominance of one crew could not be illustrated better than by the Sydney Rowing Club, Australia four. All of their three races leading to the Final displayed their superiority and command over their opposition. Their quality was evident against Nottingham Rowing Club in the first heat where they won by three and a quarter lengths after dropping their rate of striking to 25, and again on Thursday against Nonesuch Boat Club when they won comfortably. The Tideway Scullers' School also struggled to compete against Sydney, who dealt much better with the blustery conditions and won by four and a half lengths in the semi-final. ....As expected, Sydney dominated the Final from sta,t to finish. Sydney took an early lead and Thames appeared to hold, but by the quarter mile Sydney already had clear water. It was only after Remenham that Thames upped their rating, but this made little impact and wa too late because by then Sydney were four lengths ahead and underrating. The powerful Sydney crew eventually won by four lengths.
