Australians at 1960 Henley Royal Regatta
Stuart Mackenzie again raced in and won the Diamond Challenge Sculls, but this time for Leander Club. It was fourth win in a row.
Round 1 - Given a bye
Round 2 - Easily defeated R N Carpmael of London Rowing Club
Semi-final - Easily defeated S C Rand of Leander Club
Final - Won by 1/2 length over Polish sculler T Kocerka from AZS Szczecin. Mackenzie led by a length at the top of the island and at the Barrier. At slightly the faster stroke he led by 1 1/2 lengths at Fawley and 1 1/4 lengths at the Mile. Kocerka closed up a little after the 1 1/8 mile, but Mackenzie won by 1/2 length.

Mosman Rowing Club (NSW) -M Kloster
Round 1 - Defeated by only 1 length by G Colgan of London Rowing Club.
After going through the Barrier and Fawley on even terms, Kloster led by a length at the Mile and 1 1/8 mile. But Colgan sculled past Kloster and won by a length.

Round 1
Sydney Rowing Club (NSW) - Barry E May and Richard W White
Round 1 - Defeated easily by Clay & Evans of Marlow Rowing Club. Both crews started at 42 in the first minute. After that Clay and Evans were always at much the slower rate, finishing at 28 from the Mile on. Clay and Evans led by 1/2 lengthat the 1/4 mile, by 3/4 length at the Barrier, by 1 1/4 lengths at Fawley and by 4 lengths at the Mile.
May and White trialed unsuccessfully for the Australian Olympic team in 1960. After the trials, they decided to race at Henley Royal Regatta.
