1986 PSA Head of the River
Christ Church Grammar won the Head of the River in 1986from Aquinas and then Scotch. Despite this great win, the school did not get a placing in the Hamer Cup which was won Aquinas.
This year saw the reintroduction of the Third Fours after last being raced in 1970.
Hamer Cup
The Hamer Cup is awarded to the school with the highest aggregate points across all events at the Head of the River regatta.
The winning school was Aquinas College with Hale School and Scotch College equal second, and Guildford Grammar third.
