1972 PSA Head of the River
The 1972 PSA Head of the River Regatta was conducted over the King's Cup course finishing at The Narrows, Crawley.
This year marked the introduction to the program of the Under 16 Eights event and would also mark the final running of the Old Boys' Race as part of the Head of the River program..
1972 also marked the change when races were moved from the old imperial distances to the metric distances. The Head of the River for the Headmasters' Challenge Cup was raced over 2000m, the Second Eights over 1500m, and all other events over 1000m.
