1982 PSA Head of the River
The 1982 Head of the River was won by Aquinas College from Scotch then Trinity. Aquinas also came second in three of the events.
Hale School also had a good regatta winning the First and Second Fours and Scotch won the Second Eights and the Under 16 eights.
The innovation for this year was the introduction of the Hamer Cup, a point score system to determine the most successful school.
Hamer Cup
This was the inaugural year for this trophy which is awarded annually to the school which scored the most points for placings in each event at the regatta. The inaugural winner was Scotch College.
