1980 SATIS Head of the River

First Eight:

Hutchins School broke Launceston Church Grammar's four-year winning streak, winning their first Golden Fleece Cup in 8 years.

The race distance had also changed from 1980, from 2000m to 1500m.

Hutchins School had a dominant regatta in 1980, winning the following events:

-    Open Four

-    Under 16 Eight

-    Under 15 First Four

-    Under 15 Second Four

-    Under 14 First Four

-    Under 14 Second Four
