1967 SATIS Head of the River

**

1967 saw the introduction of age-group categories into the Tasmanian Head of the River programme in lieu of 6 Fours races. From 1967, the regatta programme was as follows:

First Eight

Second Eight

Open Four

Under 16:

-    Four 

-    Lightweight Four 

Under 15:

-    First Four

-    Second Four

Under 14:

-    First Four

-    Second Four

First Eight:

Hutchins School won the First Eight for the fourth year-in-a-row over The Friends' School by 1 length.

Second Eight:

1967 was the first time the Second Eight was raced at the Tasmanian Head of the River. Hutchins School won the inaugural race by 2½ lengths.
