First Eight:

The first three positions remained the same in 1970 as it was in 1969. Hutchins School retained the Golden Fleece Cup in 1970, winning by just a ¼ length margin over Launceston Church Grammar, with The Friends' School in third.

Hutchins School also won the following events in 1970:
