David England, John Hawkins, Richard Garrard, Alan de Belin, Ian Porter, Rod Stewart, Phillip Ainsworth, Malcolm Robertson, Phil Gardiner & coach Hubert Frederico

The East Germans again dominated with gold in all women's events and five men's events. For Australia, two of its most enduring international athletes, Peter Antonie and Phil Gardiner, competed for the first time. Both represented Australia in 1992 and Peter Antonie was still selected in 2000.
