Darcy Wruck raced for Australia in 2016 at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Rotterdam, The Netherlands as part of the Men's Eight. The Queenslander was part of the first intake of athletes to the Reinhold Batschi Men's National Training Centre in Canberra in 2017 and was later selected to be part of the Men's Eight for World Rowing Cups 2 and 3. At the World Rowing Championships, Wruck represented Australia in the Men's Coxed Pair, finishing in second place at the regatta.
