Leonard Spencer

Mercantile Rowing Club (VIC)

Len joined Mercantile in 1920-21 season as a junior member. His first recorded race was in the following season at the Upper Yarra Regatta in a lightweight maiden four.

His rowing career was reasonably short lived with only one win at the 1922 Sale Regatta in a maiden eight.

Sadly, his premature death from pneumonia is recorded in the 1924-25 annual report. He would have been only about 21 years old.
