Broadley C McMinn

Albert Park Rowing Club, now Albert Park South Melbourne Rowing Club (VIC)

Broadley Charles McMinn joined the Albert Park club during the season of 1914-15 and lived in South Yarra.

Also known as Charles Broadley McMinn, he was active in scratch races during the war, but has no recorded VRA wins. Broadley was an engineer when he enlisted on 17th July, 1915 as a private in the 14th Battalion.

He was promoted to Lance Corporal in May, 1917, then Corporal in January, 1918 before being gassed the following month.

In 1919, he trained in Glasgow at La Scala Theatre for three months. Broadley returned to Australia in 1919, and married Margaret Young the following year.

He died in 1966, and is buried in Springvale Cemetery.
