Ken Graham

Sydney Rowing Cub (NSW)

The following tribute is contained in 1974-75 annual report of Sydney Rowing Club.

It is with great pleasure that your Committee has awarded the Club Honour Blazer to our Treasurer, Mr Ken Graham in recognition of his outstanding service to the Club over many years.

Ken joined the Club as a lightweight oarsman in 1940 and after a break for war service, rowed with us up until 1952.

On the administrative side, Ken held the position of Honorary Secretary during the period 1950-1956. In addition he has served continuously as either Secretary or Treasurer of the Old Boys for some twenty years.

After a break from the Club Committee it took only a little persuasion for Ken to rejoin as Treasurer in 1974. During the two years since his appointment, Ken has been largely responsible for guiding the Club through an uncertain financial period to the point where, against the general trend amongst Clubs, we have this year shown a most handsome profit. As Group Financial Adviser to a large public company, Ken brings with him to the Club a tremendous amount of experience and expertise in financial and company matters and we look forward to the benefit of his presence in years to come.
