Noel L Calvert

Born on 25 December 1877, the son of John Calvert and Margaret Fair nee Chirnside, of Irrewarra Station, Colac, Noel Leonard Calvert was initially educated privately1. He was educated at Geelong College and then Geelong Grammar School. His brothers were educated at Geelong College.

He enlisted for the Boer War and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant in 6th Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers) of the British Army. He was killed in action on 19th October 1900 near Bethel, South Africa.2
