Gay Allen

Mosman Rowing Club (NSW)

The Mosman centenary history recorded Gay's 1981 season as follows: However few could forget the combination of Gay Allen and Leanne Turner with their blonde pigtails turning in truly spectacular performances. Coached by Mal Shaw this diminutive combination won 30 races during the season including three Australian Championships in both lightweight and heavyweight coxless pairs, as well as making up part of the winning composite women's eight.
