International Challenge Cup
Description
Four sided sterling silver Cup gilded inside with Base standing on Wooden Plinth mounted with crossed oars surmounting Melbourne Amateur Regatta 1903 Medallion. The cup is four sided slightly curved with arched flat rims curving. downwards to corners. Each corner is mounted with silver spheres. The inside of the cup is gilded. The cup stands on a similar shaped base with triangular wire rims. The four sided Wooden Plinth has two crossed silver oars surmounting a replica Melbourne Amateur Regatta 1903 Medallion. The three other faces have plates for engraving.
Inscriptions
An inscription plate is mounted dedicated to the memory of Toshiji Eda. The Cup is inscribed "International Challenge Cup"
Past winners
The trophy was first awarded in 1996, where it became the trophy for Senior 8s, a step below the Grand Challenge Cup.
