P S Sabey

Mercantile Rowing Club (VIC)

This is a sad tale of a promising young rower who died in only his second season rowing.

He joined the Club in 1934-35 season and raced during that season and the next in novice and maiden events.

The 1935-36 annual report notes: It is with great regret we record the passing during the season of Mr P S Sabey, a most promising and popular member whose tragic death occurred after a short illness.
