The following short obituary appeared in the Club's 1979-80 annual report.
Ken was a successful Junior oarsman in pre-war years and retained his interest and activity on his return from active service in the Middle East and South Pacific.

He assisted generally in the activities of the Club and coached a number of crews with considerable success.Because of ill health he moved to Buderim, Queensland, seven years ago, but retained his membership and interest in the Mercantile Rowing Club, of which he was a member for fifty years.
