Robert G (Bob) Longmore

GPSOB&BRC (QLD)

A leading cox, coach and administrator in Queensland rowing. Jack Pritchard in his book Rowing in Queensland provided some insights into Bob in this pasage.

Bob Longmore passed away in February, 1978, and his death ended an association of fifty years with the GPSOB&BRC for which he had been a tireless worker. He had been an Honorary Life Member of the Q.A.R.C. and also Honorary Secretary for many years and was always there when a job had to be done.
