1880 - Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship, four seat – Second

1881 - Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship, bow– Second

1882 – Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship four seat – First

1883 – Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship four seat – Second

1885 – Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship stroke – First

1886 – Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship stroke– Second

1887 – Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship stroke– Second

1887 – Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship stroke & selector – Second

1888 – Intercolonial Men’s Eight Championship selector

Bros was not only a successful oarsman over many years but also a treasurer and selector of the NSWRA.  Alan May in his history of Sydney Rowing Club records that in 1888, he has the misfortune of not only being asked to withdraw from being stroke of the NSW Eight whilst a selector, but then being asked to resign from being the treasurer for neglect of duties.
