Vice President of Sydney Rowing Club.

His death was noted in the 1964-65 Sydney Rowing Club annual report in these terms.

A Vice-President of the Club and member for almost seventy years. Roger started his rowing career just prior to the turn of the century and he stroked winning New South Wales Eights in 1908 and 1911. 

He stroked the successful Australian crew in the Grand Challenge Cup at Henley on Thames in 1912. 

Roger Fitzhardinge was a great rowing man and highly respected member of the Club.
