History of Bendigo Rowing Club

8. Ladies on the Water

Apart from the Eaglehawk Ladies Rowing Club, women's rowing was not widely accepted by the men in the community. Despite this fact, a rowing club for women was set up, with their boat shed beside the boat shed of the now amalgamated Bendigo and Sandhurst Clubs.
