1984 – World Lightweight Championships, Montreal CAN – demonstration event 

Women's lightweight events were included as demonstration events to enable FISA delegates to vote as to whether they should be included as Championships. The Australian crew successfully raced at St Catharines in the lightweight eights before the championships commenced winning their event.
