Men's Lightweight Quad Scull

 

This event commenced in 1992 as a National Championship.

However, the boat class came of age in 1990 when a quad of the following rowers won bronze at the World Championships in Tasmania:
Bow: Simon Burgess (TAS)
2: Gary Lynagh (QLD)
3: Bruce Hick (ACT)
Str: Steven Hawkins (TAS)
Cchs: Tim McLaren (TAS) & John Driessen (TAS)
Res: Rod Birt (QLD)

The same crew won gold at the World Championships in 1991 in Vienna.
